ABOUT US

Hello! Welcome to Long Lane Newfies. My name is Amy, and these are my pups. Each one holds a special place in my heart and is first and foremost a member of our family! God gave me a love for animals as a little girl and now I am blessed to be able to share that love with others through the puppies that are born into my home. Each puppy is loved, cared for, protected, nurtured and given the best possible start in life that my momma's and I can give. One of my greatest privileges is to place one of these sweet loves into a new family who then becomes my extended family! I am a small in home breeder that believes in bettering the breed. My Newfoundland adults are health tested and chosen based on several things including temperament and a nice solid body structure where I am always striving to meet breed standard. If you browse my site, you will see pictures of Ace, my first ever male newfie. You will also notice he's brown and white, a color recognized by AKC but not considered breed standard, or showable in the show ring. He is however, everything else a newfie can and should be, sweet, gentle, calm, a terrific therapy dog, and the list goes on and one. However, it is my desire as I have grown and learned more, to breed colors that are standard. Ace is now retired from my program but you will still see pictures of him because even though his colors aren't standard, he's still an amazing dog who's very much a part of my life. If you've never owned a large breed or a Newfie, be sure and read as much as you can to be sure this is the breed for you. While, I think they are the perfect dog, they aren't that for everyone. I would much prefer you figure that out BEFORE you bring your new puppy into your life and then have to disrupt their life to rehome them.
